Karen Howard of Karen Howard Luxury Homes is an Associate Broker with Atlantic Sotheby's International Realty in Virginia Beach and has been a licensed real estate broker and lender since 2003. With over twenty years of experience in sales, marketing, and business management, Karen brings a rare combination of business acumen, lending expertise, and real estate knowledge to every transaction.

Prior to real estate, Karen spent two decades as a marketing and sales director, where she successfully built businesses, trained sales teams, and created operational strategies that continue to shape how she serves her clients today. Her unique position as both a licensed lender and Realtor® allows her to provide a comprehensive understanding of lending products, ensuring clients receive tailored guidance that few agents can match.

Karen is a Certified Military Relocation Specialist, a proud former military mom, and the spouse of a first responder. She has successfully assisted many military families through the PCS process and has facilitated numerous purchases through the assumption of existing VA mortgages, resulting in significant savings for her clients. She is a member of the Hampton Roads Realtor Association, the National Association of Realtors (adhering to its ethics-driven standards), and has earned multiple awards for her achievements in real estate. Passionate about community service, she is active in Rotary International, where she developed and managed a Rotary Readers Program, and she and her family proudly support local SPCA organizations.

Outside of real estate, Karen and her husband Joe enjoy a vibrant family life with their blended family of four children, one grandchild (and more on the way), and their black lab. They are avid travelers, hikers, and Harley-Davidson adventurers. Together, they enjoy cooking, wine tasting, entertaining, and spending time with family and friends.
